Downloadable to Android and Apple iPad devices, the apps will soon be available to all iPhone users as well. PT and OT Helper consist of four individual applications each that were created to assist in the physical therapy and occupational therapy rehabilitation process. Therapists often give their patients exercise assignments to perform at home as part of rehabilitation of the injury and to continue strengthening the weakened muscles. While these routines can be confusing to follow and difficult to replicate, PT and OT Helper eliminates these frustrations. This coordinated and simplified approach decreases the amount of recovery time and increases the likelihood of rehabilitation success.
Each of the four apps offers these features:
* The ability for therapists to create customized exercise plans
* Animated graphics showing each exercise in detail
* Audio and written instructions
* Complete control over the difficulty and speed levels for each exercise
* Graphical tracking and sharing of performance data with therapist via email
